Welcome to Central Zagori. This magnificent complex of small villages is situated in the heart of Pindus mountain range, just north of Ioannina, the capital of Epirus.

The physical boundaries of Zagori or Zagorohoria are Mitsikeli mountain in the south, Aoos river in the north, Lygos and Tymphis mountain ranges in the east and west, respectively.

Zagori, due to the geomorphology of the region, is devided into three areas. Central Zagori comprizes twenty villages, ten villages constitute Western Zagori, while Eastern Zagori is made up of sixteen villages. The headquarters of Zagori are in the village of Asprangeli, in the most southern part of Central Zagori.
